Easter Bank Holiday Notice
Please note that the library will be closed Friday 18th to Monday 21st April inclusive for the Easter bank holiday weekend. It will reopen on Tuesday 22nd April at 10.30am. Don't forget that the library's eResources are available 24/7 with your library card number and pin!

Finding Magic & Medicine In Your Garden with Feebee Foran

Join Feebee Foran, Herbalist, owner of Forager Skincare & resident Forager on Ireland AM for an evening of plant magic and medicine. Discover the beauty hidden in your garden or daily walk and deep dive the natural medicine of wild Irish weeds. You will also learn the secret stories and folklore of the plants that grow in abundance in Ireland.

Summer Gardening talk with Marie Hirst of Unwinding with Plants

Join Marie Hirst of Unwinding with Plants for a summer gardening presentation and demonstration. Learn how to look after your plants throughout the summer growing season. We will talk about what your plants need to thrive, correct dead-heading and pruning techniques, learn which fertilisers and plant nutrients are best for growth, fruit and flowers and roots and also find out the best position in the garden for your plants. Bunclody Library invites you and your family to join us for a session of LEGO Free Play. LEGO and Duplo will be made available for children and families to build their very own designs. This session is suitable for ages 4+. No booking required.

Spring into Storytime at Bunclody Library

Grown Ups and Me Storytime & Craft
As part of our Spring into Storytime programme, join us for a series of storytime & craft sessions for parents/guardians and their children ages 4-7 years. Together, we will read some spring-themed stories and create a little craft to bring home.
Booking essential as spaces are limited. Please book for the child only. Parents/guardians must remain with the child during this event.

Bedtime Storytime for 3-5 years Thursday 17th April, 7pm

Join us for a Bedtime Stories event in Bunclody Library. Suitable for 3-5 yrs. Make sure and wear your favourite PJ's and bring along your favourite cuddly toy!
Children of all ages love bedtime stories. It's never too early to start reading to your child so why not pick up a book from your local library and start tonight!
Parents/guardians must remain in the library for the duration of the events. No need to book - all welcome!

Let’s grow together! Grow your own food like peas, salad leaves and French beans!
As part of our LEAF Literacy & Food Education Programme is a partnership between GIY (Grow it Yourself), Wexford Libraries and Libraries Ireland, did you know you can now collect FREE seed packets from Bunclody Library?
To take part you are invited to register with the LEAF programme and call to your local library to collect your free seed packet of peas, beans or salad leaves. For more info click here.
This campaign supports you to grow your own food, and gives you resources and online supports to do so. The Literacy & Food Education (LEAF) Programme is about empowering communities to grow their own food as a vital climate action. It’s about sowing seeds of empathy and nurturing a culture of sustainable living, all while turning libraries into bustling hubs of food growing.
